BC Seniors Week 2015

Enjoy Free Seniors Yoga classes, Seniors Exercise classes and Nordic (Pole) Walking in Vancouver and The North Shore.

The Yoga and Exercise classes are adapted for on and off a chair and from beginners to intermediate levels.

 

Seniors Chair Yoga

Join us for a relaxing hour of stretching with an emphasis on balance, falls prevention, peaceful mind and stress release. The class will be led by Martine Fox, Certified Yoga Instructor.

Mondays:       1:00 PM to 2:15 PM

Location:        St Martin’s Anglican Church, 195 Windsor Road East, North Vancouver

 

Seniors Chair Exercise

The class is low impact concentrating on balance, stability and core strength for falls prevention. We will also work on our upper and lower body strength with a cardiovascular component. This class is led by Tammy Watson, Certified Seniors Fitness Instructor.

After class we can share a healthy snack.

Wednesdays:   1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Nordic Walking

Walking with poles is an excellent way to increase core strength, improve balance and walk safely.  Poles and instruction are provided.  This class is led by Lois Thomlinson, Certified Urban Pole Instructor.

After class we all enjoy complimentary coffee and goodies.
