A list of our

Homecare West offers Hourly, Live In & Overnight care to our senior clients, therefore we are able to adapt to your every need.
We are dedicated to our
Home Care Mission
Our Senior Home Care Services in Vancouver are award winning because of our ability to be creative and innovative with the services we offer and how we deliver them. For example, we are excited to introduce Homecare West cooking classes for our Home Care Assistants. We want our employees to feel confident in our client’s kitchens and develop the skills of cooking from scratch. We are paying attention to the requests of our clients and sensitive to new trends in home care services.
We connect activity and healthy aging by promoting movement with our clients starting with our care plans. Inside all care plan binders is a set of exercises that can be modified depending on ability. We encourage our Health Care Assistants to promote movement by making it a regular part of the day and adding music and doing it together makes it fun.
Food Philosophy & Activity
Small adjustments in these particular areas can improve your energy level and overall health and happiness to live a longer and more fulfilling life.
Ageless Thinking Seniors
That’s how we describe Homecare West Clients because they want the same things to be considered now in their life plan as they did years ago. They want us to incorporate whole person programming into our care plan structure:
When a group of seniors were asked what Whole Living and Healthy Living meant to them, their response was:
Independence, good mental health, good physical health, long life and not wanting to rely on others.
When asked how they could achieve these goals they answered:
Adequate sleep, exercise, eating healthy food, managing stress and positive attitude.
Losing brain capacity, burden on their families, restricted mobility and having to leave their homes.
Having a plan to realize your senior Whole living and Healthy living goals is the best way possible to achieve them.
If your objectives are similar and you feel that things are starting to unravel, then consider home care as a fantastic opportunity to realize the goal of remaining independent in your own home, the good health will follow.
Deciding to hire a professional home care company can be emotional and challenging not only for the senior but for the entire family, so, we try to keep things simple. Here’s how to begin.
Two Sample Days With Your Home Care Assistants
You will have qualified Health Care Assistants supporting you around the clock, encouraging your independence while providing social companionship. Knowing you and your daily routines helps us immediately respond to changes that help you and your well-being. We want to help you remove the daily stress and add fun, peace of mind, and encourage you to be independent. Our Health Care Assistant supports you with your personal care needs, prepares your favourite healthy meals, helps you answer the phone, and is there with you all day and night for your comfort.
Your Health Care Assistant arrives and supports you with your hygiene and grooming needs. They make sure your bed is made “just-right”, and help you prepare a nutritious breakfast with your favourite cup of tea. Together you’ll get outside for some fresh air, and stop at the grocery store. On your return home, you prepare lunch together and your Health Care Assistant reminds you to take your medications. Before they leave, they will do some light housekeeping and set the table for your dinner meal.
