Home Care West was founded on a deeply personal belief: that seniors deserve compassionate, respectful care that allows them to remain in their own homes — surrounded by familiarity, dignity, and comfort.
Like many families, we experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to find care that truly respects seniors as individuals, not simply as patients. We also saw how meaningful, thoughtful home care can improve not only a senior’s quality of life but also bring peace of mind to the families who care about them most.
That experience became the foundation of Homecare West — a company committed to providing care that feels personal, compassionate, and dependable.

Why is Home Care So Important to Me?
From a young age, my mom shared a perspective that has always stayed with me: when we first enter this world, we can do nothing for ourselves. We don’t recognize anyone, and we must learn to trust. In many ways, seniors at the end-of-life experience something very similar—often unable to fully care for themselves, sometimes not recognizing those around them, and relying on the compassion of others.
It is this circle of care and trust that inspires me. My mom, Brenda, dreamed of creating a business that would support seniors wherever they called home, providing dignity, comfort, and companionship in life’s final chapter. Although cancer took her from us in 2010, I am deeply honoured to carry forward her dream and live her legacy through
Homecare West. Every client we serve is not just receiving care but is also a reflection of the compassion and vision she instilled in me.
